The HarborCrest Nursing staff has received 100 percent scores through the Professional Resource Center (PRC) for the last five quarters on Nurses Caring and Understanding.
“I’m very proud of the nursing staff for this accomplishment,” said Traci Moen, nurse manager at HarborCrest. “They work together like a well-oiled machine.” The nursing staff continues to show great dedication to the success of our patients and to HarborCrest. They provide exceptional care to all of our patients and do so by working as a team with patient care and safety as their priority. They provide a nurturing, healing environment by treating our patients with empathy and kindness and without judgment.
- Some comments I have listened to through PRC have been:
- The nurses provide outstanding attention to patient care.
- Whenever I needed anything they were there for me.
- The nurses were absolutely amazing; they made me feel like the queen of the world.
- Nursing staff was outstanding, attentive to what we needed; they were always there for us if we needed anything.
- The nurses went above and beyond what they needed to do, they were great people.
A vast majority of the nursing staff not only do the jobs they are assigned to do, but have also taken on extra assignments. They teach parenting classes, infection control classes, tobacco cessation classes and sober recreation activities. When asked if they were interested in taking these extra roles on, everyone was enthusiastic. In doing so, it has created a more therapeutic environment, and they have built more rapport, and stronger nurse-patient relationships.
