The LifeNet Health “Hospital Administrator Award”” recognizes Administrators achievements in supporting an environment that promotes donation education, activities and outreach among their staff and throughout the hospital.

“For 2018, we are recognizing Melanie Brandt at Grays Harbor Community Hospital for her leadership and efforts to expand donation awareness within the hospital and the community,” said Heidi Schaiberger, Donor Development Coordinator. “She worked to further understanding and support of the hospital’s tissue donation program by engaging key management staff.”

Melanie helped facilitate opportunities to promote Donate Life Month, raising community awareness but also working with LifeNet Health to recognize the staff for their key role in the donation process. She engaged her management team in educational opportunities to improve on donation goals and metrics and also identify ways in which LifeNet Health could further support the hospital by identifying and addressing challenges with referral calls to following up on monthly reporting measures. She even reached out to other community partners to explore ways to support tissue donation.

“GHCH is excited to share this recognition with the community,” said Nancee Long, Director of Marketing and PR. “Melanie is an outstanding professional, always looking for ways to increase community involvement and ensure our patients are our No. 1 priority.”

One donor can enhance more than 150 lives through tissue donation.

The gift of tissue donation allows members of our community to lead healthy, productive and joyful lives and our partner’s role in this process is invaluable. LifeNet Health extends their greatest thanks to Melanie and all the staff at Grays Harbor Community for your efforts and support of our mission to Save Lives, Restore Health and Give Hope.
