36th Annual OysterFest @ Shelton

Hosted by the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club Foundation and attended by thousands, OysterFest is home to the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships and is Washington State’s official seafood festival.

The festival also features a popular cook-off, hands-on water quality exhibits, and is itself a giant a food pavilion with nearly 100 unique items on the menu: BBQ oysters, fritters, spring rolls, garlic shrimp, fresh cider and so much more. Better yet, your culinary adventure supports about 100 local non-profit service clubs and organizations, as well as funding scholarships and local community improvement projects.

What’s better than a long President’s Day weekend at the beach?  When there’s a fabulous antique show to attend also.  Enjoy antiques as well as items that have been repurposed, upcycled, and/or recycled.

Friday is open only in the evening as a special premier night and it is a ticketed event. The tickets will be for sale in the Center & at the Dusty Trunk and entitle you to tasty culinary delights as you peruse the wares of the vendors as well as entry into the show Sat and Sun.This antique and collectible show has been renewed and please be prepared to be amazed!

On Saturday, April 18, the coastal town of Westport, Washington will be holding its 28th Annual World Class Crab Races. Under the big tent at the Westport Marina, hundreds of crab enthusiasts will gather together to watch crab races, listen to live music, and of course, feast on the deliciousness of the under-sea crustaceans.

Join us for a special DIY workshop with our friends from The Sugar Canvas Boutique Bakery! In addition to creating a personalized wood sign from our gallery, you will be treated to a hands-on cookie decorating demonstration by The Sugar Canvas Boutique Bakery. We provide all the materials and instruct you step-by-step. The cost for a workshop is $35 for guests and pre-registration is required. This workshop includes an added fee of $32 for the extra instruction time and cookie decorating supplies, which will be collected during the registration process. This class is part of our 12 Days of Christmas in July. Any guest who attends a workshop in July will be automatically entered into a drawing for 6 months of Free Signs. Each month our winner will be given a code for a free PYP workshop for the months of August 2022 – January 2023

The FOSLS LAKE SYLVIA STATE PARK FALL FESTIVAL continues the tradition for our 12th year!
Come join us on SUNDAY, September 10th, 2023 from 8:30 – 4:00 for a day filled with fun and family activities.

If you enjoy running we have trail Races that begin at 8:30 am. From 10 – 4, you can find one of a kind art and hand crafted treasures at the Artisans Market and eat delicious food while enjoying great live music by talented local acts all on the peaceful shores of beautiful Lake Sylvia. There will also be a kayak paddling adventure, a Watershed Festival by the GH Stream Team, Galaxy Harbor Dancers and educational exhibits in the Legacy Pavilion. You can decorate a pumpkin or take a group photo in our photo booth and we will have kids activities as well.

Park for free at Simpson School (519 Simpson Ave W, Montesano WA), and take a free shuttle to the Festival. Parking inside the park is limited and requires a Discover Pass.
