For 2015, Westport Winery is hosting “Dancing Without Scars” one night a month as a fundraiser for Beyond Survival, a domestic violence support group in Aberdeen. Rather than charge guests a cover charge, the winery is offering free live music the third Friday of every month and encouraging dancers to leave a donation for this organization.
The first of these fun-filled dance event features the Maki-Melihoff Jazz Duo. Whether you are dancing, dining or just listening you are invited to enjoy music in a unique intimate setting with limited seating for each dance.

Our Salon Readings feature local authors and poets reading short passages from their work. The public is welcome to listen. Books may be available for purchase and signing.
Saturday, October 1st we’ll be offering our first quarterly Salon Reading. Local writers are joined by readers and those who love story.
Our featured reader is poet Dwight Johnson.
The event begins at 7 p.m., should last an hour to an hour and a half, is free and is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Writers are welcome to come by and read from their work. While there is no need to sign up in advance it is recommended to assure a spot.

The Chamber of Commerce welcomes all to the Sand and Sawdust Festival at the beach! Master, Intermediate, & Novice Sand-Sculptors. At the Convention Center master woodcarvers compete in this amazing annual competition. There are food, craft and specialty vendors. Live auctions are held daily on carvings!

Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Join us for the third annual “Harvest by the Sea”, a benefit dinner honoring Coastal Harvest. The evening starts off with Cocktail Hour at 6:00 pm featuring beer brewed right here in the harbor by Steam Donkey Brewing Company and a wine paring poured by GH Wine Sellars. As you are enjoying a selection of delicious appetizers, entertainment will be provided by Ericka Corban, as seen on “The Voice”. Dinner will be catered by Mill 109 and served at 7:00 pm. The evening will wrap up with a “Desert Auction” where you will have the opportunity to select from a variety of cakes, cupcakes, pies and much more made specially for this event.
