Northwest Spay and Neuter Center, Washington’s largest non-profit high-quality spay and neuter clinic, now offers free transportation for your pet to and from our state-of-the-art clinic in Tacoma! No residency restrictions, and financial assistance may be available.
How does it work? Our dedicated employees collect scheduled patients (cats and dogs) at a prearranged location. Patients are driven to our clinic in a safe, climate-controlled vehicle for surgery. They recover overnight and are returned to the same location the following morning. We accept pet cats and dogs and feral cats in traps on our shuttle!

Grays Harbor County Public Health & Social Services Department has teamed up with Grays Harbor Living to bring beautiful, local artwork to the county’s Pearsall Building.
On February 16, we will honor the local photographers whose work was selected to be printed, framed, and displayed.
We will gather in the Harbor Room (after you walk through the building entrance, continue straight ahead to the Harbor Room) to hear a few words from our staff and county commissioners, then we’ll go on a tour of the building to see the photographs on display.
Come play and sing with a group of music enthusiasts who share a love of music in the Elma Library meeting room. Players of all levels are welcome. Free, BYOI (bring your own instrument). We do not offer instruction.
Get inspired this St. Patrick’s Day by perusing original art created by the Grays Harbor community. North Coast Montessori, an elementary and middle school in Seabrook, Washington’s beach town, will host its second annual St. Patrick’s Day Art Show.
The exhibit will showcase original work in various media – including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, mixed media and sculpture – from artists of all ages who live or work in Grays Harbor County, Washington. Thirty percent of event proceeds will be donated to the North Coast Montessori Scholarship Fund, which contributes to full and partial scholarships to the school for students in grades K-8. The goal of the event is to provide scholarships for 1-2 students for the 2018-19 school year.
Guests can enjoy refreshments, green beer and champagne while appreciating local artists’ creations. After finding their next masterpiece, visitors can explore the surrounding area’s quaint shops, walking trails, parks and homes.

In addition to drawing natural art enthusiasts from around the country, the event celebrates the beauty of local beaches and encourages guests to do some exploring themselves. Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, both born to wealth and position, are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with birthday party thank you notes and summer camp postcards. Romantically attached, they continue to exchange letters through the boarding school and college years, where Andy goes on to excel at Yale and law school, while Melissa flunks out of a series of “good schools.” While Andy if off at war, Melissa marries, but her attachment to Andy remains strong and she continues to keep in touch as he marries, becomes a successful attorney, gets involved in politics and eventually is elected to the U.S. Senate. Meanwhile, her marriage in tatters, Melissa dabbles in art and gigolos, drinks more than she should and becomes estranged from her children. Eventually she and Andy do become involved in a brief affair, but it is too late for both of them. However, Andy’s last letter, written to her mother after Melissa’s untimely death, makes it eloquently clear how much they really meant and gave to each other over the years; physically apart, perhaps, but spiritually as close as only true lovers can be.
Performance dates: Every Friday and Saturday evening with curtain time at 7:30. Each weekend features a different cast.

The FOSLS LAKE SYLVIA STATE PARK FALL FESTIVAL continues the tradition for our 12th year!
Come join us on SUNDAY, September 10th, 2023 from 8:30 – 4:00 for a day filled with fun and family activities.
If you enjoy running we have trail Races that begin at 8:30 am. From 10 – 4, you can find one of a kind art and hand crafted treasures at the Artisans Market and eat delicious food while enjoying great live music by talented local acts all on the peaceful shores of beautiful Lake Sylvia. There will also be a kayak paddling adventure, a Watershed Festival by the GH Stream Team, Galaxy Harbor Dancers and educational exhibits in the Legacy Pavilion. You can decorate a pumpkin or take a group photo in our photo booth and we will have kids activities as well.
Park for free at Simpson School (519 Simpson Ave W, Montesano WA), and take a free shuttle to the Festival. Parking inside the park is limited and requires a Discover Pass.
