
I made the mistake of watching it in bed.
I fell asleep during the last segment, so I'll have to watch it again.
Very interesting though, especially the changing dynamics within the leadership of the mosque. Also, I thought the differentiation of cultures within the mosque was interesting.
I think PBS's synopsis was/is somewhat misleading. As told by PBS, she (Asra Nomani) may have returned to Morgantown and
felt that there were "extremists running her mosque"...however it appeared to me that there were also moderates in power at that time, and her insistence upon reform was the catalyst toward a more extremist run mosque (at least temporarily.)
I found this excellent review of the documentary, if anyone is interested.
