You're right the real issues in the health care "reform" debate are the excessive amounts of money spent for health care and the mediocre outcomes produced by the most expensive system of health care delivery in the world, by far.

The idea that may legitimately conclude that the British Health care system is bad because more folks in the UK die from prostrate cancer is just, well, really silly.


What I really want to know is the wait time for wart removal. If "socialized medicine" can't get it done as quickly as my hmo, it's a deal killer </sarcasm>

Just because it may have been proven to an ideologue predisposed to reflexively oppose any publicly owned, not for profit health insurance system doesn't mean it's true. I ideologues have a way of ignoring inconvenient truths which don't fit within their ideological constructs.

Here is another example of over utilization of the medical care system. You could tuck that scrotum yourself with a length of dental floss tied off to staunch the blood flow to the offending portion.
