The Democratic Party picked a person for the top spot that has shown excellent judgement and values during his career and will be able to lead our nation back to the excellence and prestige it had prior to Dubya throwing it away, and who demonstrated outstanding judgement in his first and most important decision: his pick of the person to take his place should it be necessary.

Would she? The trademark of her executive experience is to fire everyone from their positions so as to replace them with people of known, and unquestioned, loyalty - but not necessarily aptitude.

It isn't Palin's lack of qualifications I fear. It's her messed up RTC-based, unConstitutional "values". I just think she's a whack-job. She may well end up being smart enough to learn and do the job. But I fear the way that she would do it.

I know I've related this before but it bears repeating...when I first saw Bush on TV around 98/99, I had a visceral gut punch of dread and disgust. It didn't take me long to realize that he was a nut-job who would take us to scary places. I was right. Unfortunately, he has lived up to every expectation I had of him.

I have the same reaction to Palin. She's Bush's soul-mate. I don't want her anywhere near the East Wing much less with potential to most into the West Wing.

We have a winner!

Cheney is "smart enough to do the job." But, America is far worse off because he was VP. It would be even worse off had he been President. It's not Palin's experience, it's McSame and Palin's views and policies that should lose this election for them.
