I saw that on the Monty Python documentary last week. A pretty good show, even if you end up hating a few of the individual members a little more afterwards..

Great stuff Eric is indeed a genius.

I still like Fear's "Fuck Christmas" a little better though.

Considering Christ was born of a Virgin, the f-word has nothing to do with the Feast of the Nativity, or Christ's Mass.

I hear ya, but to me both songs are just pointing how we have long forgotten the reason for the season.

The reason for the season is the Winter Solstice. The Church, in order to entice pagans into their fold, allowed them to continue celebrating their pagan rituals in order that they would feel more comfortable about becoming theists. Christ is a Leo. BTW, mass is at Walmart this year.

God created the universe, so He's Lord of the Winter Solstice. And what was sold out to Satan, Christ's blood has redeemed, including the Winter Solstice. So...it doesn't matter at all what day is set aside to honor the birth of Christ. All days are His.

It's okay. I really don't mind. There are a lot of businesses to support on the harbor. And you're doing a fine job.

I remember that one quite well. For years I had a tape of Dr. Demento's Christmas Show (I think it was from 1983). I probably wore that tape out.

Well, to be fair, we buy so little, if businesses are counting on customers like us, they're in big-time trouble! smile
