Do you have children?
If so, did you not provide them with guidance on the importance society places on a good first impression...not to mention developing healthy habits? Poor posture and awkward gait can not only cause health complications, they can be a symptom of underlying health problems.
As our daughter was developing, it was important to us as parents to encourage correct posture and with that the development of graceful movement. Our daughter is in her mid-thirties today, and she remains conscious to the benefit of maintaining correct posture and balance.
I was admiring her grace and beauty and beautiful posture last night as she was leading worship music for her church's Christmas Eve service. I felt sorry (as I have in the past) that Malia suffers from such poor posture and awkward gait. It's always really bugged me that it seems her parents aren't interested in helping correct it. I wondered if she had a congenital spine or hip condition at the cause. Sue me.
