Right. And some of your best friends are gay. And you hate gay people too! Must make Thanksgiving awkward.

Beavis, the large maternal side of my family live way south of the Mason-Dixon line...always have. My mother and one sister (eight siblings) were the only family members to move out of the South...ever. I have black family members by marriage and their progeny, and also by adoption. And just for the record, I don't hate any of them for any reason. I have one gay aunt and one gay cousin (they are not mother and child) that I know of on the maternal side of my family, and the daughter of one cousin on the paternal side of my family just "came out"...none whom I hate either.

Period.

I no longer will be responding to your racism ugliness.

Fuzzy, I've seen footage which included her walking a few times, this morning it was of her deplaning with her family in Hawaii.

I'm probably more aware of it than others on this board because I was born with a congenital hip defect that wasn't medically diagnosed until my late teens. Because of this my legs and feet naturally want to point inward, like inverted first and second ballet foot positions.

I went through years of teasing for being pigeon-toed, a few years of corrective shoes, and continual excrutiating pain while participating in sports. Now in my mid-fifties, I always have some level of back and hip pain, and it's starting to affect my love of hiking, as there are days when my right leg/hip just give out.

I had both my children's spines and hips checked when they were infants, to make sure it wasn't something I passed on to them...and fortunately did not. It was important to me that they both developed excellent posture and grace, which we saw to it that they did.

Unless Malia Obama has a spine or hip problem, I think her parents are doing her a disservice allowing her to practice the habit of walking like a lumbering yak with her head down.

At the immediate beginning of this video, you can catch a second of her deportment, identical to that which I've seen on other news tapes.

If she were my daughter, it would have been corrected...unless of course, there is a physical reason why it cannot.

So this whole thread is about you and your accomplishments stemming from your teaching your daughter grace? You employ the tactic of denigrating a stranger and her famliy in order to raise the subject and contrast it to your own experiences? Funny.

Yes, it is.

Good grief, she's just 10, right? And she has grown bunches in the last couple of years. Most kids go through a clumsy stage when they have big growth spurts. Chill.

It's also funny that I'm not surprised you chose to take it that way.

This is the flame pit. I'm flaming her parents for allowing her to continue in atrocious posture and spastic gait...leaning forward, arms swinging in front of her, head down. It's not healthy.

And yeah, we scrimped and scrimped to keep our children in dance and taekwondo so they would develop proper posture, balance, and grace. It's at least one thing we did right as parents. I doubt if the O's would have to scrimp. I imagine they could probably afford private deportment lessons. I think it's crappy for their daughter that they obviously have not.

Some folks believe so in their inherent superiority that they feel they have the standing and the qualifications to judge how other folks raise their children or live their lives.

Others are such complete knee jerk tools of the emerging hate Obama industry that they will seize upon any opportunity, no matter how astoundingly insipid, to criticize elected officials with whom they disagree, even if it involves denigrating his child.

Take your pick.

How do you know that?

I reached full height by age 11. Also developed early. I slouched for years due to being one of the tallest and to hide my burgeoning chest. My mom continually made me walk while balancing the dictionary on my head and made other efforts to get me to walk straight and tall. Until I got into about 9th grade and began to feel comfortable with my body, it was all for naught. I simply refused to do so. I was just too self-conscious to care about things like being graceful at that point in my young life.

Maybe they are doing things and Malia is just as stubborn as I was.

Or maybe they are wiser than my mom because all it did was make me feel inadequate and resent her efforts. I developed good posture when I was ready to do so. Maybe the Obamas are wise enough to know that her daughter will probably do the same when she's ready.

I have no idea how you can come to that conclusion with absolutely no evidence to support it. Obviously? Hardly.

I do not hate the Obamas.
God has place them in the positions they currently hold for a reason. I don't quibble with God or 2nd guess Him. I criticize them for allowing their daughter to negatively impact herself with horrendous posture.

Funky, if Malia is as stubborn and rebellious against authority as you, then the Obamas have my complete sympathy and I'll get off their case about it.
