Got it, Agent Smith. Any criticism of a public figure, especially of one at least partially African-American, concerning their politics, lifestyle, or parenting, is completely off-limits in this matrix; especially when said public figure hasn't spotlighted his children on a national stage, approved photo and interview spreads in People Magazine, and let his daughter be interviewed on Access Hollywood. Oh...wait...

I've been pretty busy the last few days, and haven't gotten on the board at all until now. As I read this thread, I don't really see any evidence of Iky being a racist. However, the thread itself is without a doubt, very judgemental, a trait rightfully condemned by Jesus.
I don't think from your first post that you were attempting to vilify Malia, but the poor parenting style of her parents. That, imho, is a backhanded way to talk about a kid. I've always felt that talking about a kid, and their shortcomings, is in poor taste, especially in a public forum such as this. As Funky pointed out, this can often be something a child, especially a girl, can be going through, and will either grow out of, or didn't have the ability to. The responsibility of the Obamas is to find out if there is something physically preventing her from standing straight. It is not my business, nor yours, nor anyone else's to find out if they have done that. With that in mind, what makes you think that they haven't?
I guess I get tired of people feeling that they have a right to talk about other people's kids. It's happening with the Obamas. It didn't happen so much with the Bush twins, even though they became adults while he was in office, and had a few run-ins. It happened A LOT with Chelsea Clinton (hmm, is there a party trend here?). I wasn't old enough for Amy Carter, but from what I understand, Billy deflected most of the attention.

Read my post again. I didn't suggest you hate the Obamas. I suggested that you are a "knee jerk tool[s] of the emerging hate Obama industry".

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if the parenting skills of George and Laura Bush were "just something that has bugged" iky when the twins were busted with alcohol and someone else's ID?

I wasn't old enough for Amy Carter, but from what I understand, Billy deflected most of the attention. He deflected some of the attention but there were still a lot of mean jokes about how ugly she was.

It happened A LOT with Chelsea Clinton Refresh me on that one. I don't remember any talk about Chelsea. None. When you have a Bill Clinton to pick on, why would Republicans need to pick on a kid. FWIW I didn't read any of the posts on Obama's daughter as being a slam either towards the girl or her parents. I have watched the clip and as far as I can see she walks like a kid, nothing more but I haven't got any experience with that sort of thing. Perhaps Iky does.

Here's two instances that I remember. There were many, many more. It was constant and almost always about her looks. On the June 10 edition of Fox News' Hannity, host Sean Hannity and conservative columnist Ann Coulter talked about David Letterman's references to Gov. Sarah Palin and her family, with Coulter claiming that "people didn't go after Chelsea Clinton." In fact, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) reportedly told a "joke" about Chelsea Clinton in 1998, saying, "Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno." and On his TV show, early in the Clinton administration, Limbaugh put up a picture of Socks, the White House cat, and asked, 'Did you know there's a White House dog?' Then he put up a picture of Chelsea Clinton, who was 13 years old at the time and as far as I know had never done any harm to anyone.
When viewers objected, he claimed, in typical Limbaugh fashion, that the gag was an accident and that without his permission some technician had put up the picture of Chelsea -- which I found as disgusting as his original attempt at humor. Source

Malia's posture, a reasonable topic of conversation?
37 replies? Seriously?

And then there was the thing about the Sidwell Friends School, where your President's daughter (I mean in 1993, not today), goes to school, instead of a public school. Supposedly there was an 8th grade assignment, "Why I feel guilty for being white." The outrage over the indoctrination of a child.
And then, of course, what do you get when you cross a lying, cheating politician with a manipulative, crooked lawyer? Chelsea Clinton.
