I got vaccinated a while ago. Who else has gotten the vaccine and did you have any side effects? In hindsight I'm pretty sure I wouldn't get vaccinated had I known about this. I won't share the gross details so I will understand if you don't either. AND if you blogged about in and have pictures, rest assured I won't click your link.

I never get flu shots anymore because every time I've ever gotten them, I've immediately gotten the flu and it's been a much harder case of the flu than the few times I've had the flu without getting a vaccination. It makes no sense to me to get poked and then get sicker than I would if I had just caught the flu.

I have no idea what side effects you're talking about...and I'm glad of it.

I have had both flu shots. No side effects whatsoever. I have the regular seasonal flu shot every year and have never ever had any problems.

Prior to flu shots I used to get the flu every time it came around. Talk about side effects! I don't miss puking and hanging around within a few feet of the toilet.

If there is a new flu and a new vaccine, I am in line waiting.

Since I got my first really "thought I was gonna die!" case of the flu about five years ago, I get the seasonal flu shot. I haven't had it since and I haven't had the H1N1. Don't think I will.

As I understand it, the vaccination only works in about 70-90% of folks receiving it.

Each time I've had a flu shot, I've gotten the flu within about 2-4 days after receiving the shot. I don't believe that's coincidence. In fact, as an adult, the only times I've had flu that has gone beyond a low-grade fever and maybe some achey joints has been when I've had the flu shot. The flus I've gotten from the shot are some of the worst cases of flu I've ever had. Never again.
