I happened upon the Grammy Awards broadcast a few minutes before an astounding gospel/opera duet performance of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Waters", with videos of the Haiti rescue effort showing on the big screen behind.

I am so completely out of touch with popular culture I don't know who the singers were; but it was, I think, the most amazing, and moving, presentation of the extraordinarily beautiful song I've encountered.

Perhaps someone can clue me in as to who the artists were.

Not from the Grammys, but this is my favorite "Relief for Haiti" song I've heard so far.

Thanks very much. I've never even heard of either, just to demonstrate how clueless I am.

I actually watched the "Relief for Haiti" production and that performance on TV. Being clueless as to popular culture I had no idea Justin Timberlake is so talented.

It really was a beautiful performance of a beautiful song. Who was it singing with Timberlake?

I like K.D.'s cover of the Cohen song much better than Timberlake's.

I don't know much about Matt Morris.... I think he was on the Mickey Mouse club w/ Timberlake when they were kids... so they know each other through that.

Wow. That is indeed a stunning performance. I think the first time I heard or saw the performance of the song was by Bono.

I'm so out of it I had no idea it is a Leonard Cohen song. Thanks for the education.

I'm so completely out out of it I had no idea Timberlake was on the Mickey Mouse Club and have never heard of Morris. I thought the Mickey Mouse Club folded the tent in the '60s.
