I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Isaiah 45:7

The passages are of contrasting opposites.

45:6 - That they may know from the rising of the sun (east)

and from the west,

that [there is] none beside me. I [am] the LORD, and [there is] none else.

45:7 - I form the light, and create darkness:

I make peace (shalowm - (social) tranquility),

and create evil (ra - calamity/adversity):

I the LORD do all these [things].

Evil is the contrasting opposite of good, not of peace.
And moral evil is nothing that was created.
It is the absence of moral good.

Calamity He created for chastisement includes the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and The Great Flood.

So evil is calamity or adversity? Which God created?

"I make peace and create evil. I the Lord do all these things."

God says directly without any equivocation "I create evil."

Its funny how an all knowing, all seeing, omnipotent god can slide....when it comes to the subject of evil. Perhaps its because his angels and devils do his dirty work for him?? Plausible deniability you say.... Guess he's not as all knowing as originally claimed.
