Y'know, the 14th Amendment says, in part:

"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned."

Doesn't that make all the bitching by Republican legislators about "IOU's" in the Social Security trust fund an impeachable offense?

Naaah. It's simply just that the full faith and credit of the united states is a worthless IOU...

... but valid, they suppose.

The issue isn't that the US debt to workers isn't valid, just inconvenient.
