I don't believe there will ever be a conviction, do you?
Well, considering that innocent people aren't supposed to get convicted of anything, no.

Cheap shot.
I've also had cases where people have admitted to making false accusations. Your point?

This story does not play like the usual story where the bimbo tries to blackmail some rich and famous person. She has tried to elude detection and appears not to want her life turned into a media circus.
That is not normal in cases like this.
I get a gut feeling that there is something to this story. If it is true, Gore got his signals crossed on what it was he was hiring done. Had he been a "noboby" regular customer who knows what would have happened him. No matter what, something like this has got to be hard to prove if it is true. Massage therapists probably run into this more than we think.
Is Gore really a crazed sex poodle? Who cares. He is a nobody now. It is only that he might have been president that there is any interest at all and that amount of interest is very, very small.

Massage therapists probably run into this more than we think. Especially $540 therapists who do outcalls at hotel rooms. (In fairness, that included a tip... which actually kind of calls into question the story. Has anyone ever paid a tip to someone they had just assaulted?) But refusing to file a police report while negotiating a $1m contract to tell the story to the enquirer? Stay classy.

You sure about that, BB? But refusing to file a police report while negotiating a $1m contract to tell the story to the enquirer?

Yes, that is an interesting article.
I don't believe there will ever be a conviction, do you?
There won't be a trial, but Mr Gore has been convicted in some segments of the court of public opinion. Even if he were found not guilty in a court of law, some would say he'd purchased the verdict.

My lack of interest in time lines on this may show when I say that I believe a few years went between the groping of the sex poodle and the time she decided to sell her story. That is what I inferred from reading the article about the newspaper coverage.

Cheap shot.
I've also had cases where people have admitted to making false accusations. Your point? Why do you jump to the immediate conclusion that it's a cheap shot? You were in the behavioral health/social services field. And you usually support the underdog. Most people with a behavioral health background know the reasons why sexual assaults are one of THE most underreported crimes. I was surprised that you weren't the first to bring that fact into the thread given your background, that's all. No cheap shot. Good grief, defensive much?

She's well within the Oregon statute of limitations for sexual assault.

That's why if I were Al Gore, and I was innocent, I'd be taking a polygraph on that awful beyond words Nancy Grace show to clear myself once and for all.
