I should have clarified, and I thought I had, the court of public opinion is irrelevant in relation to Al Gore and this case. President Obama still has legislation, nominations, etc that he is trying to work through, not to mention a reelection.
As far as my own opinion, I'm really here for my own entertainment. Am I making my opinion public? Yes, but that's not the point. If I talk about politics to my wife, she gets a glazed look in her eyes. I joke that the only way that I could get her to go to a city council meeting is if they are debating an ordinance that would legalize the clubbing of baby seals. (In fact, if I ask her if she will sign a petition for an initiative, she will ask me if it has to do with baby seals). I'm no fan of discussing politics at work (there are those that would agree and disagree with me, and those that just want to eat their lunch in peace). So this board is sort of a relief valve for me. I'm not afraid of people knowing my opinions, and here I can get some sort of feedback, or even challenge, without it being personal. If it does get personal, I ignore that crap. That's one reason why I'm glad that you are here. I can count on you to disagree with me in a genuine way if that's the way you feel. Same with BB. I kind of wish that there were more on the right that were willing to put themselves out there on this board, as opposed to just watching and hanging out on their own blog/site. I had some hope that we had a new voice when Oly showed up, but it turned out that they weren't as good or thoughtful and ran away.
Thanks for explaining the sex poodle thing, I get what they were trying to say now, I just don't think the word association is going to stick in my mind. At least, not in relation to Al Gore.
