No surprise that I won't be supporting Gary Murrell's ideology; and I limit my "anger and angst entertainment" to that on this board...and sometimes a sneak peek at Olbermann.
But you have fun and enjoy!

No surprise that you would think the KGHI project has anything to do with Gary Murrell's "ideology," either.

LOL...whatever would give me that idea! Activist group make bid for small FM radio station on the Harbor
Grays Harbor may be getting a new non-commercial radio station.
The Grays Harbor Institute, a non-profit group which has brought the likes of left-thinkers Alexander Cockburn, Angela Davis and presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich to the Harbor, is in the final stages of receiving a 43,000 watt full-power non-commercial FM radio station license from the Federal Communications Commission.
Institute President Gary Murrell, a history teacher at Grays Harbor College, said although the institute's speaker's bureau may be a bit left leaning, "I think we're probably going to have to be less ideological than, say, The Evergreen State College."
The call letters may be KGHI, named after the instutute, which was founded in 2005 "to investigate, analyze, synthesize and promote democratic ideals consistent with ending poverty and racism and advancing human, civil, environmental, educational and health rights," according to its Web site. The radio station may be powerful enough to cover the entire Olympic Pensinula and reach down to the Columbia River, Murrell said. People such as Alexander Cockburn, Angela Davis, Dennis Kucinich, and Mike Farrell "a bit left leaning?" Guffaw! Then of course there's this: •Talk shows featuring progressive perspective politics and discussions Now if he would devote a show to blasting Dicks and Murray, I might be tempted to listen. Because as you know, "the news about the state of our republic is very bad." Hey, he's got THAT right!

While I think you usually do your research, this time it's lacking. Gary blasts, Dicks, Murray, Cantwell, and Obama regularly. Scroll down here to hear some of his past columns from KBKW every Monday @ 8:45 am. The website is woefully outdated, but the point is clear.

Anne was great. After the show I mentioned she didn't sing "Have you been to jail for Justice?"
She said, "What?!? I didn't sing that? I've never had a concert without singing my one big hit. I don't know what happened."
We talked a bit more and while I was filling out her email list she started sing it. Two other people came over to listen. The three of us got our own private sarenade.

Glad that it was a good show. I spent my evening working, but don't worry, it wasn't fun. I look forward to seeing this station get on the air, even if some of the programming will be further to the left than I tend to be. I'm really more excited for the arts and entertainment programming, but even the political stuff can be interesting.
I think the reason is, when I find myself disagreeing with someone far to the left of me, it's usually because I have a different opinion or interpretation. But when I find myself disagreeing with someone far to the right of me, it's because I can't figure out how they got the facts to even base an opinion on. They appear to have an opinion, and then make up facts to support it. Sure, that happens on the other side too, but not nearly as often.

Yeeessssss...and that's why I said that if he would devote a show to blasting them...I might be tempted to tune in to that show. I've read his blogs. I find his "Meaning of Life" especially amusing in a sad, pathetic way, from worshipping the creation and "sensations" rather than the Creator, to his juvenile broad-brush grouping of all Christians into one political mind-set ("sky-goders" as he calls them). Maybe "sky-goders" could come up with a cutesy, disrespectful name for atheists...something like kindling.

that's why I said that if he would devote a show to blasting them...I might be tempted to tune in to that show. "Tune in tomorrow, because I'm going to spend the entire hour criticizing Dicks and Murray." I guess you're easily entertained with a very narrow subject matter. But, this would be boring radio... or more boring than usual. My point is, Gary is not a memeber of the Democratic Party and is critical of them all the time.

Didn't say he was a member of the Democratic Party, did I?
He intends to feature progressive politics and discussions. He's an atheist. I am as inclined to support his radio endeavor as you are inclined to support Christian, conservative radio endeavors.
Glad you enjoyed the show and after-show.
