Didn't take a laptop -- took lots of photos!
Going through the border, both ways, was very easy... the wait was kinda long, but we had no issues at all.

Maybe because you didn't take a laptop?
Don't know how true this is but I've been hearing that they sometimes demand to access your laptop when you come back into the US. If you don't let them, they'll confiscate and/or deny re-entry. If nothing else, it sounds like it could slow things up.

Hiked 5K up and down a mountain! then, for dinner, we dressed up, and walked 8 blocks (each way), me in strappy sandals, to a nice Greek restaurant. Visited a friend, saw the sites, ate raw vegan food... great time  http://flickr.com/photos/cronewynd/sets/72157606284933660/

Cool pix. Love the Buick! I'd do the 5K in hiking shoes before I'd do the 8 blocks in strappy sandals.  Dropping the cloak of anonymity, eh?
