Just left her concert. It was a hoot. Great voice. Glad she came to Aberdeen.

She's a dead ringer (no pun intended) to my fairly recently deceased cousin.
Thought about going but then decided it would have been just a little surreal weird to watch Wynonna in concert.

It was a good show. She has a tremendous voice, but I really enjoyed her rock and blues songs the most.

Alex Mabey, her opening act was good too.

She has a beautiful voice, I wish they would have turned her mic up. It was hard to hear her over the drums and bass.

I've noticed the sound guys were fairly inept at every D&R concert I've attended. They seem to think that cranking every input up to the same 10 level is the only way to get the job done.

And, at the Manhatten Transfer concert, they were loudly BSing throughout the entire show. Not about sound levels, either.

So the sound guys are local? You'd think the artists would have their own people do that.

Part of the problem previously was the sound system itself. During Lounge Acts last year both our sound person and Candlebox sound person had trouble getting the levels right because of the system. Recently a new system has been put in. Not sure if that will help. Obviously the sound guys talking is a whole other issue.

Wally I can't speak for the other acts but Candlebox brought their own sound person (and sound board) but we had to provide a sound person for the other acts at the same show.

Speaking of Lounge Acts.... Umm, any news?
