Prosecutors declined to pursue the case after interviewing witnesses who were at the hotel and since Hagerty failed a polygraph test. The D.A.'s office also said forensic testing disputed her accusations.

Fighting the Wrong Wing with facts again, huh Beav?
"Lack of credible evidence," is no reason to flush the Intelligent Design BS, why should it be here?
"Lack of credible evidence," doesn't stop the Birthers, or the 9/11 Truthers, why should it stop with harassing Al?
I suspect, the cover-up of Al Gore's masseuse rape will be discussed on FAUX News for a long time. Beck, Hannity, and Orally have long memories... unless it comes to the sexual harassment performed and seriously paid for by O'Reilly himself. They tend not to talk about that much.

Actually, the Al Gore rape accusation was discussed with a great deal of skepticism on Fox News, no matter what MSNBC is telling the three people who watch. Fox brought the lack of credibility of the accuser into light immediately.
Seriously, with all that's going wrong with government, Al Gore is quite insignificant, nobody on the right or anywhere in the middle needs to make things up. Washington is writing it's own jokes these days.

You have summed it up perfectly. There are NO political points to be made. Al Gore is no longer a politician. Innocent he may be but he will forever be assosiated with being the "Sex Poodle".
How ugly is that?

What bothered me about the story is the woman kept clothing from the attack. I'm a woman and if I were sexually assaulted and chose not to tell, I certainly woulnd't have kept the clothing around for 4 yrs. to remind me of a terrible experience.
