I am using the new Internet Explorer and a brand new Windows 7 box. My question is: why when using GHTalk and using the Quotes can't the screen scroll up as I type? It is always so irritating to scroll down to see what I typed. Rick, sage of Geeks, programmer extraordinare, any ideas? Anyone. Anyone.

The install is still pristine and I am running in 64bit mode. Did IE go another direction again?

I don't think that's a Windows 7 issue. I had the same issue when I was using XP. It never really occured to me that it might be the IE 8. I figured it was just a secret plot to get me to type shorter responses.

I always switch to "Full Reply" and then use the "Make textarea bigger" arrow.

I tried the full reply. I have tried changing font sizes in Internet Explorer. The same problem occurs using Facebook so the quotes is not the problem. Perhaps it really is a sneaky move to keep our responses short.

Thanks a lot Rick. grin

It's an IE 8 issue, and until they get it fixed, sites with the problem need to turn on IE7 Emulation. Will do that here when I get a sec.

I see. I've never had the problem with Facebook. Hmm...

There is a setting in certain versions of IE8 that will actually do the IE7 emulation on it's own when it encounters certain websites. It seems to work for some but not for others.

Odd. I got a new computer a couple weeks back with Windows 7. Ever since, I have to use IE in order to do anything on Facebook. My beloved Chrome doesn't work there. But that's the only website where I've had problems with Chrome. And only since I've moved to 7. What's up with that?

You're not alone on that. Quite a few people have issues with chrome on facebook, where links don't work, feeds don't update, etc. Don't think anyone has found the common factor in why it works for some and not the other.

Since it's only been a couple weeks since you got your computer, I assume your running the latest version of chrome?
