So...Patty Murray got more votes than Dino "Lying Scumbag" Rossi and Clint "Doofus Teabagger" Didier combined.

According to election results

sticky finger freedom haters can even add this up

Patty may be approx 30K shy of a win this time. Breaking it down to party lines Patty is unemployed this election cycle. Hope the door misses her where her maker split her.

Not saying Dino, the hair piece, Rossi is any better a choice but looks like the the beginning of the end of the Socialist Party rule in Washington just might be starting.

Don't choke on a Popeye's chicken wing adding those figures up.

BAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH [choke] HAHHAHAH [gasp] HAHAH [choke] haha [weez] ha [choke] h [blue] a [fart].

I'm not sure where you're coming from on your election results. If you add up all those candidates who "Prefer Republican Party" and "Prefer Democratic Party", you can give the Republicans a nod of 13,575 votes. But, there are still 21,652 votes who declared neither party as their favorite (kind of like GOP PCO Rick Hole who 'Prefers Neither Party'... I'd hide the fact that I'm a Republican, too). Additionally, it was only a 42% to 45% turnout leaving a whole bunch of Dems who, hopefully, stayed home until the General.

Additionally, Clint Didier is withholding his endorsement unless Dino, the Wannabee, pees in the cup and salutes to Didier's neanderthal agenda. To Dino, the Wannabee's, credit he is delaying his Laying Prostrate before the Neanderthal Agenda and, therefore could lose that endorsement. One would suspect the man with little grounding will capitulate sooner or later, but will that be enough for the knuckledraggers to flock to him?

I don't recall any Socialists on the ballot anywhere. To whom are you referring?

RealClearPolitics.com provides a daily update of polls from across the country. While there are a handful of bright spots for Democrats among the numbers, almost everywhere the candidates with a (D) behind their names turn, they find news that is going from bad to worse.

For example, Republican Dino Rossi leads three-term U.S. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., by 7 points in a Survey USA sampling.

The same outfit has Carly Fiorina outpacing "Please don't call me ma'am" Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., by 5 points.

Rasmussen has conservative Pennsylvania Republican Pat Toomey ahead of hard-left Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak by 8 points in the race to succeed Sen. Arlen Specter.

All of these results are from blue states -- states which went, often by lopsided margins, for President Obama in 2008.

Why?

Far and away what drives all of these numbers and many, many more is the deep-seated conviction that the president's economic policies have failed, and not only failed, but exacerbated the downturn.

Obama baked this economic cake, and as he enjoys his third vacation in as many weeks, the public has decided from East to West Coast, and from deep blue to dark red, that a wholesale change -- real change -- is needed.

All the Republicans have to do is preach again and again that this can be turned around.

And, yes, labeling Democrats the "Socialist Party" amidst their big spending and deciding to spend their political capital on healthcare instead of taking on joblessness and economic recovery is pretty apt.

Now it is too late. We need new people in there and even if the odds are that Republicans will only make it worse, there is no chance at all with the dofuses running things now.

Of course, that's ignoring that there was likely a small percentage of voters that support Patty Murray, but knew that she would make it through the primary, and so voted for Didier, hoping for an easier November.

Well, that certainly explains why she beat him by over 100,000 votes in the primary then!

Only to imbeciles who don't actually know what socialism is.

The big "takeover" attempt of the health care industry and vowing to complete the job with a public "option" is pretty socialist to most.

Not that it has to be a fact. Most people won't look up what a socialist is anyway. For those it just means that the government is meddling with things they should not meddle with and spending on things they cannot afford.

Given that it wasn't anything remotely resembling a "takeover," and a "public option" would have only provided more competition--which is supposedly the heart and soul of capitalism--I think my comment about "imbeciles" is pretty apt.
