I wonder what normally gets kids suspended?
From the article:
Riverhead School District Superintendent Nancy Carney said principal David Wicks made the right decision adding "
this is not about religious discrimination. It is about being sure kids are able to get to class on time and keeping the kids safe and orderly.
These students were warned and did it again," Carney said. "If the kids aren't going to abide by rules, there are consequences."
Doesn’t matter if religions or political in nature, causing a disruption at high school has consequences. Each school has a lot of items that you can be suspended for. Causing a disruption and not obeying the school figure after warned not to do it again, sounds like a reasonable punishment to me.
