There's also Skyvi (Siri for Android)and Andy for Android. I just downloaded Iris, too.
Skyvi seems to do better with things like "where is the nearest Tully's?". But Skyvi would not tell me whether it will rain today, while Iris gave me today's weather forecast and current temperature. Andy kept telling me my GPS signal was too weak to answer that question but other apps are using my GPS signal just fine (just got back from a run using Endomondo and the map it made of my run was exactly what I did).
I asked both how long it takes to get to Seattle from here? Iris told me "24 hours". Skyvi told me "aircraft: 1 hour 40 minutes sound: 1 hour 15 minutes light in fiber 7.22ms light in vacuum: 5.16ms" Ha! Andy still says he can't answer due to poor GPS signal.
Skyvi doesn't know how to make a martini. Iris just said "gin, splash of vermouth, and add an olive". Pretty basic. Andy must have been a bartender giving me more specifics with ounces to use plus directions for dry and extra-dry martinis.
All seem to be better at different things. Could get confusing but they're fun to play with.
What's the add-on app required for Iris? I didn't see anything about that and it seemed to be working without one.
I'm loving my DroidX and we're still honeymooning. Haven't posted anything to GHT with it yet because I'm too busy playing with apps. May GHT needs an app? Hint.
I still really only get on the actual web on my phone if I'm out-and-about and need some info that I can't get through an app.
Well, gotta run and see what Iris, Skyvi and Andy suggest I get Johnny Angel for Christmas.
