New information revealed that the practice, exposed by The Washington Post in November, had become very widespread until it was halted in 2008, the newspaper reported.

Last month, Pentagon and Air Force officials said that figuring out how many remains were sent to the King George County, Va., landfill would take combing through the records of more than 6,300 troops.

This is sick. Heads should roll.

Still this is a PR nightmare. What were they thinking of? Why not spread the ashes over one of our mountain ranges or something more respectful?

Prosecute Bush? Not going to happen.

Wow. Few of us will ever deserve the respect that a soldier has earned by giving the ultimate sacrifice. What the heck were they thinking?

It probably went something like:

Mortuary: There are lots of chunks of people. The big ones we assemble. What about the little pieces?

A call to the PIC (person in charge): What do we do with the small pieces?

PIC: What do you usually do with unidentifiable stuff?

Mortuary: We incinerate it.

PIC: Sounds good to me. Go for it.

You would think our soldiers remains would be important enough to hash out a policy instead of a quick decision. From a political view it was foolish. From a personal view it is insulting. Not a landfill for crying out loud.

I understand that the Hague is running out of War Criminals to prosecute. Maybe next time Bush leaves the country he will be arrested and not just have protesters saying he should.

He won't be going to Malaysia anytime soon.

Nor Switzerland After reading this I'm not sure why he's safe from prosecution in the US as well.
