Teacher arrested for sending sexual texts to teen

I really hope this isn't true. On a side note the headline says teen and the first sentence say 12 year old, go king 5.

Unfortunately it is true, heard it on the radio yesterday and it's on the KBKW website. The teacher had contact with 2 12 yo.

I'm going with innocent until proven guilty when I say true.

What appears to be "true" is that communication took place. "Guilt" on the other hand is a much different issue. Was the communication "for immoral purposes"? Did the individual do it or was did someone hijack his phone/computer? Did it come from his phone/computer?

As of right now, A. it looks bad, but B. you can drive a truck between "true" and "guilty" at this time.

Just an fyi: Washington State has one of the highest percentages per capita of sex offenders in the US.

Besides the wrongness of the act which speaks for itself, how stupid are these teachers and public figures who use cell phones and computers to commit these crimes?

Innocent until proven guilty or is it where there is smoke there is fire? I hope it is as simple as the teacher having a 12 year old using his phone at home.

Just to interject... It's "innocent unless proven guilty." Yes, the semantics make a difference. Innocent "until" assumes guilt that merely lacks evidence.

If they lack the evidence to convict, you are presumed innocence. Such as OJ.

Out of curiosity what is your source? Not disputing the info but wondering who it came from. Also it might be that Washington is more willing and more effective in prosecuting sex offenses. Who knows.

All right every one here is Dr. Fuzzy rules for conduct! They should teach this stuff in Teacher School if they dont already!!

1. If you are a teacher you should not be alone with a student. No matter what the reason, even if you are doing Bible Study.

2. If you are a teacher you should not be texting students without there parent permission and knowledge

3. If you are a male teacher you must be very Careful around your conduct w/ female student's as the scrutiny is much larger

4. If you are a male teacher in Hoquiam then you really need to read #3 about four times because the scrutiny is REALLY much larger

5. If you are a male teacher in Hoquiam and you have read Rules #3 and #4, and you continue to do these thing's and are found guilty of misconduct, then you got what is coming for you because you really must not be very smart.

Pretty simple really.
