It's a tie when Bill Simpson is on air. In his absence it's Doug.

Doug is not very electronically savvy and often has difficulty finding things on his screen and in his e-mail. You would think as many times that he has had the problem, he would do some homework in his off hours so he could be more adept at it. Doug mostly turns subjects back to himself and becomes defensive if he thinks anyone is suggesting he doesn't know it all so for him to even admit he isn't good on the computer is amazing.

Does anyone else besides Doug think he sounds anything at all like Elvis? Just as Dave saved us all from the sounds of Doug's chewing and eating on air, perhaps he could rescue us from the endless Elvis imitations as well.

It's funny to read all the CT listener posts, those who must actually enjoy getting annoyed/irritated by Doug.

As much as I get annoyed and irratated by Doug, I do appreciate the show. We are fortunate to have that venue and I must admit it keeps me abreast of what is happening around the County in areas other than where I live or work. He has a few irratating habits but overall it is a good show.

It's not (merely) a matter of intelligence.

People make choices through conscious or subconscious cost-benefit analysis. Obviously, for those who remain listeners, the "cost" of listening to Doug's irritating habits have been calculated to be less than the benefit they derive from listening. Unless, of course, they suffer from a self-defeating personality disorder. Then that's a whole different story. lol
