The flood and mudslide pictures and videos that are circulating social media are shocking. But, not surprising at all, are the images of neighbors helping each other clean-up after the flood waters have receded.
If you can lend a helping hand to neighbors in need, join the community on Friday, January 9 beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Thanks to the Home Depot, associates from across Washington State will be gathering at the Aberdeen location to kick off a community wide clean-up effort. During the event, they will be helping to clean parks, streets, senior’s homes and anyone needing some extra hands.
They are looking not only for volunteers to assist but also information from people who need help with the clean-up of their yard and basements.
To volunteer, stop by the Aberdeen Home Depot to sign up or meet on Friday, January 9 at 8:00 a.m. at the store.
If you would like some extra help, contact Brandy Smith by Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at 360-533-6661 ext 077 or via email at brandy_a_smith@homedepot.com.
