Elma Chamber of Commerce Presents Edward Jones with Business of the Quarter Award

Jason Olsen, owner of Edward Jones Investments of Elma, was the recipient of the Elma Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Quarter award in the third quarter of 2015.

The Elma Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented a Business of the Quarter Award for the third quarter of 2015 to Jason Olsen, owner of Edward Jones Investments of Elma. The plaque was presented at the Edward Jones office on October 7, 2015.

Edward Jones Investments was presented the award based on enhancement to Elma and support of the community. Jason Olsen opened the Edward Jones office in Elma in 2001. Bernadette Bower came on staff in January of 2002 and Moja Burbidge joined the team in 2008. The new office was built in 2008 and greatly enhanced Elma’s business community.

Out of the entire number of Edward Jones firms, the Elma team was awarded Top 25 percent in customer service. And recently Edward Jones again made Fortune’s Top 100 Businesses to work for.

Edward Jones and staff of Elma support the community in numerous ways. Jason Olsen is on the Satsop School Board. He and his family sponsor an Elma High School scholarship. Edward Jones and staff host Elma Chamber’s Heat on the Street Cruise –In on Friday night, before the Main Street show. You will find them cooking and serving hot dogs to the participants and handing out dash plaques. Jason served as Elma Chamber President from 2001 – 2005.

Bernadette Bower has served on the Elma Chamber Board of Directors since 2011. She is currently Vice President and will move into the Presidency in 2016. Bernadette is a member of Elma Eagles auxiliary #1440. She also serves on the Elma Stadium Committee, volunteers for Miss Grays Harbor pageant, and volunteers in her son’s classrooms.

Moja B urbidge has participated in the Big Climb to benefit Lymphoma Society and currently is focused on fundraising for the Elma High School Junior and Senior classes.

Edward Jones of Elma sponsors many community youth activities including Satsop Dollars for Scholars, Elma FFA and Grays Harbor 4-H. Bernadette Bower said, “We are very proud to be part of the Elma business community and our amazing chamber. We are excited about the growth of our town.”
