Coastal Washington is a hotbed of fertile farm land. Grays Harbor County has much to offer in the way of fresh, locally grown produce. Farms are numerous, and the farm stand is iconic here. As you travel through the Harbor, there are a few main stands and public markets to visit along the way.
Ocean Shores Farmers Market
The Ocean Shores Farmers Market is the only one on this list that is seasonal. So visit while you can. This quaint and cozy farmer’s market features food and craft vendors as well as produce. They are open every Saturday through August. Check their Facebook page to verify location.
Jay’s Farmstand
It’s hard to miss the inviting array of produce along Heron Street in downtown Aberdeen. Jay’s Farmstand offers local, seasonal, organic, and conventional produce. They also carry sausages, raw milk, Washington raw honey, spices, and a few other grocery items. Read more about Jay’s Farmstand here.
Elma Farm Stand and Public Market

The Elma Farm Stand and Public Market is relatively new to Grays Harbor. The market is a large space with a lovely selection of produce, meats, cheeses, craft beer and wine. There are also other interesting items produced by community locals.
Grays Harbor Farmers Market
When you’re driving from Aberdeen through Hoquiam, you will see the charming Grays Harbor Farmers Market just before the bridge. Their collection of produce is necessarily more limited than others because it is all local, seasonal, largely organic, high quality, and delicious. Inside the market is the exquisite Nancy’s Bakery, a large selection of unique, handcrafted items from various vendors, a deli, and even a selection of books.

It must be mentioned that we have numerous family farms in our county. Many sell their products directly to individuals. Each year, Washington State University puts together a Farm Fresh Guide. The Guide lists the county’s farms that sell directly, their products, contact information, locations, as well as a map. I enjoy challenging my family to make at least one meal per week made of local ingredients, sourced from our county.
Whether you choose a market, stand, or a neighborhood farm, make it a point to support our local growers.
