Cruise-In to Elma for the 8th Annual Heat on the Street Custom Car and Motorcycle Show. It kicks off on Friday, August 5 with a Cruise-In Party hosted by Jason Olsen and family. Cruise-In to the Edward Jones parking lot (3rd and Waldrip Street) beginning at 4:00 p.m. Bring the family for a preview evening of cars, music, ice cream and fun until 7:00 p.m. You can register your car or pick up your goodies if you are pre-registered. Registered car owners can participate in the poker run with great prizes, have a free hot dog, soft drinks and more.
Show and Shine on Main Street starts at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6. Enjoy music and take a chance on many great raffle items, check out the vendor booths, food booths, downtown shopping, beautiful cars, trucks and motorcycles. For only $15 the first 200 — if pre-registered by July 20 — receive an official T-shirt, dash plaque, Grays Harbor Raceway ticket, raffle ticket and other goodies. All registered car owners receive a goodie bag. More than 20 awards in many classes will be presented at 3:00 p.m., so be sure and vote for your favorite car.
Many other activities are happening in Elma. Register for Feet on the Street 5k/10k Fun Run at 8:00 a.m. at Anytime Fitness in Elma. Fun Run begins at 9:00 a.m. A free Family Fun Carnival coordinated by the East Grays Harbor Transformation Team on 3rd Street. Take your kids and grandkids for games, bouncy houses, food and lots of free prizes. For water sports fans, the jet ski races are happening at Vance Creek Park on Saturday. Don’t miss Pepsi Night at Grays Harbor Raceway featuring 360 Sprints, Midgets, Street Stocks and Outlaw Tuners on Saturday night. The fun continues on Sunday with Outlaw Drag Racing at Elma Airport and jet ski races at Vance Creek Park. There is something for everyone.
