Meet Stitch! She is a 40-pound, 8-month-old, border collie/husky/lab mix, and has a lovely short blue, grey, and white coat.
Stitch has loads of energy and has lots of love to give once she warms up. Due to her sometimes reserved nature, and breeds, she would do best in a home with children over 10 years old who are kind and dog-savvy. As she is a growing puppy it is unknown at this time how she would do living in a home with dogs, cats, or other animals. She loves to go on walks, explore the woods, and climb on rocks.
Shelter volunteers say she is a “girl on fire who came in like a wrecking ball.” Stitch is extraordinarily strong and extremely high-energy, a walk around the block will not satisfy this girl. You must be up for adventures and committed to training, added mental stimulation, and exercise. Stitch does require a sturdy fenced yard.
Adopt-A-Pet has many great dogs and always need volunteers. To see all our current dogs, visit the Adopt-A-Pet website, our Facebook page or at the shelter on Jensen Road in Shelton. For more information, email thedoghouse3091@hotmail.com or call 360-432-3091.
