Meet Ranger Gomez! He is a 30-pound, 6-month-old, border collie-German shepherd dog mix, with the combined intelligence and intensity of both! He is an excellent watch dog and will alert to any sound he hears.
This young man has been on leash but still needs work with leash training. He knows his basic commands, sit, stay, down, go to bed, and his favorite cookie. He likes to crate for sleep and travel and does want to please his people. Any children in the home, or who visit should be 13 years old or older, kind and very dog-savvy. Ranger has enjoyed playing with dogs his own size in the past but is very reactive and you must take the time he needs to socialize properly with proper introduction. As far as cats go, any that are in the home or general area they will be chased with a vengeance. Cats are not recommended.
Overall a beautiful and excellent dog who needs a securely fenced yard, loving strong leaders, a rural setting (he lived in the city – too many things to see), and lots of activity. Border Collie and or GSD experience is required.
If you have further questions, emails are the only method of communication at this time. We all care about the health of our two-legged caregivers and the community at large, so as a precaution we are temporarily suspending our public open hours. We are still taking email inquiries and applications, and will be in touch with you as soon as we are able. We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this difficult time! Stay Well!
