Westport Winery has hired Andy Mesodjednik as their Chief Operations Officer. Mesodjednik leaves his position as a Vice President of Bank of the Pacific after 19 years with that organization.
Winery co-founder Blain Roberts said, “Andy has been our company’s commercial banker since we founded the winery in 2008. We were honored to have him interested in joining our team. We believe his depth of knowledge in the finance industry as well as his restaurant management experience will help us successfully continue to grow.”
Before entering the banking industry Mesodjednik worked in the hospitality field. He and his wife Dawn also owned their own businesses in the past. He said, “I felt like this was a great opportunity for me to learn since the winery, with the restaurant, distillery, museum and gardens, have new levels of complexity that will challenge me.”
Kim Roberts, another of the owners of the business, and Blain’s wife said, “My daughter Carrie, Blain and I eventually were all working seven days a week. We plan to get to a more normal life balance with Andy taking on some of each of our duties.”
Mesodjednik is an avid outdoor sportsman with a keen interest in local fisheries and wildlife.
