All nine Cosmopolis volunteer firefighters announced their resignation as of 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2022. That time has passed, and the Cosmopolis Volunteer Fire Department is currently unstaffed. While our hope was to coordinate a delay of the resignation of the Cosmopolis Fire Department, this was not the case,
As of 12:01am on January 1, 2022 the Cosmopolis Fire Department is unstaffed.
Mayor Pauley has issued a Declaration of Emergency related to the health of the community and will implement planning to ensure residents have coverage for the near future.
