Grays Harbor Open Studios Tour

June 21-22, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (some studios have different hours)

The Grays Harbor Open Studios tour is a great way to meet the local artists. Spend the weekend traveling around Grays Harbor and check out the talent. Studios will have demonstrations and the artists will be there to answer your questions. The tour is free, just print out the map on the Grays Harbor Open Studios Tour website.

Sand and Sawdust Festival

June 27-29
120 W Cance A La Mer NW, Ocean Shores

The Five Star Dealerships Sand and Sawdust Festival is a summer event in Ocean Shores that gives you a day at the beach, looking at incredible sand castles! First 300 kids on June 28 get a free kite thanks to Ocean Shores Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Events are held at the Ocean Shores Chance a la Mer NW beach access, at the Ocean Shores Convention Center and around town at Oyhut Bay Seaside Village, at Bennett’s Fish Shack and Playtime Family Fun. Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze

Dust off your tricorn and get ready for some good ol’ pirate fun at Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze in Westport! Talk like a pirate, watch re-enactments and entertainment, compete in costume contests, sing along to sea shanties and more! Fire dancing, mermaids, acrobatic shows—you never know what you will get to experience but one thing’s for sure, the whole family will have fun at this summer event in Grays Harbor!

Hot Rods in Hoquiam

June 27-28

Love fast cars? Head to the Hoquiam Elks on June 27 & 28 for Hot Rods in Hoquiam. Friday is the free pre-event with hot dogs and root beer floats from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday is the Push Rods Car Show! Enter your car for $25 or come for free just to look at all the cool cars. There will be food and drink available for purchase as well as raffles, awards, poker walk, vendors and more! 

McCleary Bear Festival

July 11-13

The McCleary Bear Festival is a summer event in Grays Harbor that celebrates the history of the area with family fun! A royal court, parade, kid’s activities, softball tournament, car show, soapbox derby and more! And of course, bear stew!

Westport Windriders Kite Festival

July 11-13
Grayland Beach

Is it really summer at the beach without kites? Not in Grays Harbor! This summer event in Grayland Beach gives you the chance to see some truly spectacular kites and the talented fliers behind them. The Westport Windriders Kite Festival features free kids kite making, a teddy bear drop and lighted kit flying (Friday, dusk).

Norwescon Camping Trip

Fans of science fiction and fantasy probably know of Norwescon, the fan convention that happens every April in Seattle. Well, its popular Norwescon Camping Trip is back for 2025! This fun summer event is a low-cost way to spend a weekend with other fantasy and science fiction enthusiasts while enjoying nature. 

Ride the Harbor: Tour de Wellness

Ready to enjoy the outdoors while getting some exercise this summer? The Ride the Harbor: Tour de Wellness is perfect for anyone over 10—those 10 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult—who wants to see our beautiful coastal scenery from their bike. This event is not timed, so enjoy yourself! Choose to ride to Elma or Montesano, or the whole 52 miles to Westport! To register, visit the Race Roster website.
