There is nothing like capturing that perfect picture that shows the beauty, charm or even quirkiness of an area you are visiting. They become priceless memories that last long after the trip is over. Both Westport and Ocean Shores are scenic little towns on Washington’s Coast that have plenty of fun and beautiful places to snap a pic. Here are some can’t-miss places to take selfies in Westport and Ocean Shores.
Selfie Spots in Westport
Westport Grays Harbor Lighthouse
1020 W Ocean Avenue, Westport
No trip to Westport is complete without a selfie with the lighthouse! This beautiful historical building can be photographed easily for free from the deck right on Ocean Avenue. Or, for $5, climb up it and take spectacular selfies from the top.
Westport Light State Park
1600 W Ocean Avenue, Westport
Travel a bit further west on Ocean Avenue for another Westport photo spot. Be sure to have your Discover Pass to park here. The Westport Light State Park is a great place to get out, stretch your legs, use the restroom and take a short uphill hike for some beautiful ocean-view selfies or forest view (with the lighthouse in the distant background). There’s a bench at the crest to sit on and enjoy the view.

Westport Viewing Tower
2701 Westhaven Drive, Westport
If you don’t mind some stairs, head to the Westport Viewing Tower for views of the Pacific Ocean, ships and plenty of selfie-worthy shots. It’s a great shot of Grays Harbor!
Half Moon Bay
Jetty Haul Road
The beautiful shape of Half Moon Bay in Westport – and the fact that you access it by going over a hill that gives you a full view of the moon-shape that gave its name – makes it a can’t-miss photo spot in Westport. To get there, take Jetty Haul Road to the parking area.
It’s a bit steep of a climb, but it’s short and worth it! Look across to Ocean Shores from this vantage point, view ships and other interesting items on the horizon, before strolling along the shore, all perfect for selfies.

Gianna Andrews’ Westport Mural
E Dock Avenue and Westhaven Drive
Right at the end of E Dock Street, with the Westport Marina in front of you, will be a beautiful mural painted by Gianna Andrews’ celebrating Westport as a coastal town. Park on the street and jump out for a quick selfie.
Westport Marina
E Dock Avenue and Westhaven Drive
While you are there, take some time to stop and walk around the Westport Marina. Westport selifes should include boats, ships, the ocean and even a seafood shack – all of which can be found along Westhaven Drive.
Selfie Spots in Ocean Shores
North Jetty
1581 E Ocean Shores Boulevard SW
If you want a spectacular view of the ocean behind you for your Ocean Shores selfie, head to the North Jetty! Sunsets are particularly beautiful here.
Damon Point
Damon Point is a great selfie spot in Ocean Shores for those wanting to get a photo of the Grays Harbor itself! Take Point Brown Ave NW south, and then turn right on Discovery Ave SE. Entrance is past an RV campground. Park off the road on the grassy area.
Canals
You can’t go to Ocean Shores and not take a photo of their incredible canal system – and why some consider this town the Italy of the west! These canals make for great selfie ops, along the shore or while in a kayak! The canals connect Duck Lake and Lake Minard. Head to the southern end of Point Brown Ave SW or Ocean Shores Boulevard and then take the side streets to find them.

Sharky’s
695 Ocean Shores Boulevard NW, Ocean Shores
This gift shop is a great place to stop and get beachwear, souvenirs and jewelry. But it’s also a fantastic selfie spot in Ocean Shores thanks to its unique entrance! Many stop to take photos outside the jaws of the shark.
Davy Jones Statue
Ocean Shores Boulevard, near Sharky’s
Before or after you visit Sharky’s for a picture and some shopping, look for the fun Davy Jones Statue in the center divider in front of Shilo Inns Ocean Shores. Just be careful crossing the street to snap a selfie with this cool sea captain.
