September has brought in cooler weather, a bit of rain and pumpkin spice everything! That also means it’s time to pick out pumpkins to decorate your porch, carve, and bake into delicious pies or pumpkin butter (so easy in the crockpot, by the way!). Here are a couple of pumpkin patches in Grays Harbor and surrounding areas to check out for 2026.

  • Hit the patch early in the season to snag the absolute elite, prime-cut gourds before someone else claims your dream jack-o’-lantern.
  • Be a morning person (just this once) and show up early to dodge the chaotic swarm of stroller traffic and photo-shooters.
  • Lace up shoes you don’t love and get ready to step your way through the fields. Unless you enjoy wearing shoe-shaped clay bricks home, assume mud is in your immediate future!
  • Dress for chaos: plot twist, weather happens, so pack both the sunscreen and the umbrella to cover all your cosmic bases.
  • Cash is king! Sure, some vendors are fancy with card readers, but green bills will save you when the field Wi-Fi inevitably gives up the ghost.
  • Pack gloves to protect your delicate hands from prickly pumpkin vines that fight back.
  • Line your trunk with cardboard or trash bags unless you want your car interior to look like a swampy pumpkin crime scene.
  • Do a little detective work beforehand by checking their website or calling ahead—especially if you’re bringing your pup, looking for rare pumpkins, or needing accessibility info.
