Chief Taholah Days, commemorating the signing of the Quinault Treaty on July 1, 1855, commences Saturday, July 1, and continues through Tuesday, July 4. The event, which is Quinault Indian Nation’s biggest celebration of the year, features a vast array of events ranging from basketball and boxing tournaments to cedar canoe races on the Quinault River. The 12th Annual Ocean Shores Razor Clam Festival & Seafood Extravaganza, chowder competitions, food, vendors, family zone, and MORE. Fun for the whole family.
There will also be a clam dig that will begin around 5:30 p.m., but then come on back once you’ve gotten your 15 clams so you can warm up and enjoy a Karaoke Contest with $1000 in prize money! 1st place will receive a $500 prize, 2nd place will receive $350, and 3rd place will receive $150. The first 40 people to sign up and pay the $25 entry fee will be entered into the contest which will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The annual home and garden spectacular returns to the Elma Fairgrounds May 19-20. Come visit the pavilion, which will be full of vendors offering both gardening and home-improvement items.
Saturday at 1:00, renown garden writer and editor of Pacific Horticulture will give practical ideas that will make gardening for the whole family lots of fun.
On Sunday, Marianne Binnetti will delight her audience with “Container Wars.” Two gardeners will be selected to fill several containers each, while Marianne discusses the what, why and where of this type of gardening. In the end the audience will vote on which planters they like. You won’t want to miss this entertaining and educational presentation.

The FOSLS LAKE SYLVIA STATE PARK FALL FESTIVAL continues the tradition for our 12th year!
Come join us on SUNDAY, September 10th, 2023 from 8:30 – 4:00 for a day filled with fun and family activities.
If you enjoy running we have trail Races that begin at 8:30 am. From 10 – 4, you can find one of a kind art and hand crafted treasures at the Artisans Market and eat delicious food while enjoying great live music by talented local acts all on the peaceful shores of beautiful Lake Sylvia. There will also be a kayak paddling adventure, a Watershed Festival by the GH Stream Team, Galaxy Harbor Dancers and educational exhibits in the Legacy Pavilion. You can decorate a pumpkin or take a group photo in our photo booth and we will have kids activities as well.
Park for free at Simpson School (519 Simpson Ave W, Montesano WA), and take a free shuttle to the Festival. Parking inside the park is limited and requires a Discover Pass.
