Northwest Spay and Neuter Center, Washington’s largest non-profit high-quality spay and neuter clinic, now offers free transportation for your pet to and from our state-of-the-art clinic in Tacoma! No residency restrictions, and financial assistance may be available.
How does it work? Our dedicated employees collect scheduled patients (cats and dogs) at a prearranged location. Patients are driven to our clinic in a safe, climate-controlled vehicle for surgery. They recover overnight and are returned to the same location the following morning. We accept pet cats and dogs and feral cats in traps on our shuttle!

At this meeting we’ll be learning about all things fishy and froggy in the Chehalis Basin. We’ll hear an update from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife on the Aquatic Species Restoration Plan being developed for the Chehalis Basin, and opportunities for citizen engagement. We’ll also hear from WDFW’s “Citizen Science” program coordinator about iNaturalist technology. iNaturalist is a tool citizens can use to document wildlife sightings and track changes over time – in effect, become “citizen scientists.” The tool is currently being tested out for amphibian monitoring in King County. Would you like to see it in use in the Chehalis?
Anyone with an interest in the Chehalis Basin is welcome to come to this event.
We will host the 3rd annual ladies Habitat for Humani-Tea in the town hall to benefit our local Habitat for Humanity non-profit organization. Each year, Seabrook Community Foundation grants money to this organization to do the good work they do in our community. The ladies tea is a celebration of that work and also a way to increase fundraising beyond what the SCF grant money can accomplish.
You will enjoy tea, great food, great company, live music, a mimosa bar, dessert auction, and fabulous guest speakers!
Creature Teachers brings an assortment of exotic animals to educate people on the wonders of nature and spark a passion for wildlife. This event is part of Summer Reading, a Timberland Regional Library district-wide program.
If you need a break between boating on the lake or cruising with the top down, dust off that motorcycle and ride over to Quinault Beach Resort and Casino’s Hog Wild Coastal Rally weekend. Whether your bike is new or vintage, chromed or matte black, real or imagined, this is the weekend for you. The festival also features a popular cook-off, hands-on water quality exhibits, and is itself a giant a food pavilion with nearly 100 unique items on the menu: BBQ oysters, fritters, spring rolls, garlic shrimp, fresh cider and so much more. Better yet, your culinary adventure supports about 100 local non-profit service clubs and organizations, as well as funding scholarships and local community improvement projects.
