It’s the Sprout Film Festival and it’s here in Grays Harbor! Come enjoy an enlightening film featuring people with disabilities. The Arc and People First of Grays Harbor are hosting this film May 16th at 7pm at the 7th Street Theatre. The event includes 12 fun and inspirational films introducing people with disabilities, their challenges, and successes. Our goal is to raise awareness about the concerns and achievements people with intellectual and developmental disabilities face daily. The festival is engaging, interesting, and promotes inclusion. They will also be raffling a quilt made by self advocates of Quilt Harbor!
People first and the Arc of Grays Harbor are local advocates improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities. Tickets are ten dollars each or a family pack of five tickets for twenty five dollars. Jingle Jam is a free event for the whole family! Come join Grace Harbor Covenant and get free pictures with Santa, make cool Christmas crafts, have fun taking a “winter selfie,” enjoy delicious cookies and decorate your own! It’s a great time to get together in our community and spread joy this season! It’s from 1pm-4pm and completely free!
Join us for an informative workshop hosted by Carol Beck, Special education expert and mentor. Also hosted by The Arc of Grays Harbor.
Shaver Marionettes will present a winter puppet play about an elderly shoemaker, an impishly magical elf, a devoted daughter with baking issues, and a Queen who collects shoes!

Learn about Disability Rights Washington’s programs and activities and ways to get involved. Discuss DRW’s current priorities and share what issues are important to you and your community. Sit down with others for a focused discussion on an area of interest to you & watch short films produced by the video and social media project of Disability Rights Washington, Rooted in Rights. Additionally, there will be a separate session to learn about the new Office of DD Ombuds Program at each location.
Runs through the day until everyone’s done. Bring jugs, apples, and a potluck dish to share.
For all ages. Come to the library and decorate a pumpkin while supplies last.

Cascades Job Corps College & Career Academy is a tuition-free career training and education program that will connect students with the skills and educational opportunities they need to establish real careers in the high-demand healthcare and information technology industries. Students in the Cascades program receive FREE college education on local campuses, wrap around services, and extensive tutoring, mentoring, and skills development. Students also have the opportunity to earn Microsoft Imagine Academy certifications and industry-recognized credentials in healthcare or information technology via hands-on, practical experience.

The FOSLS LAKE SYLVIA STATE PARK FALL FESTIVAL continues the tradition for our 12th year!
Come join us on SUNDAY, September 10th, 2023 from 8:30 – 4:00 for a day filled with fun and family activities.
If you enjoy running we have trail Races that begin at 8:30 am. From 10 – 4, you can find one of a kind art and hand crafted treasures at the Artisans Market and eat delicious food while enjoying great live music by talented local acts all on the peaceful shores of beautiful Lake Sylvia. There will also be a kayak paddling adventure, a Watershed Festival by the GH Stream Team, Galaxy Harbor Dancers and educational exhibits in the Legacy Pavilion. You can decorate a pumpkin or take a group photo in our photo booth and we will have kids activities as well.
Park for free at Simpson School (519 Simpson Ave W, Montesano WA), and take a free shuttle to the Festival. Parking inside the park is limited and requires a Discover Pass.
