The Build Off Early Learning Fun Fair is a free family fun event that will challenge children’s imaginations. Participants will try to build the tallest structure out of Keva planks in hopes of winning great prizes. After testing their building expertise, they will join our fun fair for art and science projects, safety games, and kids’ activities presented by a host of community organizations dedicated to early learning.

Our upcoming Find Work Friday on June 11th, 2021 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM will have a special focus on Youth and Student job opportunities. We have asked employers to indicate whether they offer paid internship opportunities, pay for formal job skills training, hire minor workers, or have entry level positions for job seeker who are 18 years or older. Youth and Student job seekers will be able to filter the employers based on the types of opportunities they offer during the live event. This will be the first virtual Youth and Student Focused Find Work Friday, but students are always welcome to attend any WorkSource virtual event.

North Beach Genealogy Society Ocean Shores, WA meets monthly at the Ocean Shores Library, the third Tuesday of the month at 1pm, Programs and discussions regarding Family History research, resources and DNA. The NBGS began in 1994 and will be celebrating 30 years soon!
Public is welcome. To become a member of the NBGS, the dues are $12 for an individual, $18 for a couple, yearly.

The social-emotional skills taught in CMCB® align with the Washington State Social Emotional Learning (SEL) standards for k-12, which include practicing giving and denying consent, social media moderation, and using nonviolent communication to set and maintain boundaries. Through experiential learning, participants will practice several evidence-based self-regulation and self-care strategies, including mindfulness activities, intentional social interactions and protective measures for their mental health.

Our sex-positive approach encourages participants to be confident self-advocates for their reproductive health. By the end of the program, participants will have developed their body literacy practice, learned several self-regulation strategies and practiced advocating for themselves and others to create a more just society.
