The Washington coastal premiere of Ocean Frontiers II: A New England Story for Sustaining the Sea brings audiences face-to-face with those now embarking on the nation’s first multi-state ocean plan. The film prominently features Rhode Island and is an inspiring story of citizens coming together to promote healthier economies and healthier seas across New England.

It’s that time of year again. Come out to the fairgrounds to watch the Elma High School Class of 2017 graduate. Watch as the tassels move side to side and the hats come off! We’ll see you there!
The celebration is for anyone earning a GED between July 2016 and now who took the GED tests at the College. Those interested in participating should contact the Transitions office at 360-538-4167 as soon as possible.
Not only does the event acknowledge those who have successfully passed the GED test, but also those who have earned their high school diplomas through GHC’s High School 21+ program. Tickets are not required for the ceremony.
Grays Harbor County Emergency Management is pleased to announce a military exercise and public showcase demonstration at the Westport Marina, testing how the Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and WA National Guard could deliver supplies and capabilities in the event of a catastrophic Cascadia Earthquake and Tsunami Event. The USS Rushmore will patrol off our Western Coast and launch a landing craft, holding various military vehicles. The landing craft will arrive at the boat launch next to the Coast Guard Station at 1600 N. Nyhus St. and offload military vehicles for public display. The US Coast Guard Station, Westport will be holding an open house during the day also. Numerous helicopters will be landing and flying around the area to rendezvous with the USS Rushmore offshore. There will be a static display of the helicopters during the event also. Thank you to the City of Westport, the US Coast Guard Station at Westport and to the Port of Grays Harbor for their support in conducting this event for all citizens of Washington State.
Free activities include a spooky scavenger hunt, Halloween crafts, late night ghost hunt, and a local haunted house. Other activities include bewitched bowling Friday and Saturday and adult karaoke in the bar on Saturday night.

This workshop seeks to describe the measurable differences in stream micobial populations as related to human impacts in forest, residential, and industrial areas. Simple interventions to minimize these impacts will be described.
