Author Visit: Douglas Rhoades, “Labels, Leadville & Lore” @ Aberdeen Timberland Library

Come hear from author Douglas Rhoades who discovered a trove of 19th century canned food labels, took them to PBS’s Antiques Roadshow, and turned it all into a book. This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, Timberland Regional Library’s one book-one community reading initiative for 2014.

Come hear from author Douglas Rhoades who discovered a trove of 19th century canned food labels, took them to PBS’s Antiques Roadshow, and turned it all into a book. This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, Timberland Regional Library’s one book-one community reading initiative for 2014. This program will end after the library closes.

From birth to 6, accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. Join in songs, rhymes, stories, group games and free play. Chat with other caregivers as children explore books, toys and blocks. Arrival and departure times are flexible.

Knit Circle @ Hoquiam Timberland Library

Every Thursday in October from 2 to 4 p.m., share your love of knitting, or simply come learn knitting basics. Yarn provided for new knitters, but please bring needles.

Grays Harbor County CASA Volunteer Training Session @ South Shore Mall Community Room

There are 400 foster children in Grays Harbor.  They need a voice in court.  Please be that voice.

It takes about 10 hours per month to make a difference in the life of a child. CASA provides all training at no charge.
