You are invited to attend the grand opening of “Blue Tail Gallery”, a new art venue in Ocean Shores. Enjoy refreshments while admiring the artworks on display of several local and international artists.
The “Blue Tail Gallery” is located in the North Beach Printing building. Owner Artemisa Garcia shares her new venture with the residents and visitors here in Ocean Shores by inviting you to this grand opening event.
Among the artists participating in this venture are award-wining artists, international artists, amateur artists, and some artists that have never exhibited before. So there is a lot of talent, variety and beauty to behold under one roof. The collection of original fine arts and reproductions includes: watercolors, oil, acrylics, pastels, encaustic, and photography are available for sale, including greeting cards.
Blue Tail Gallery will be open from Monday through Thursday 9am-6pm, Fridays, and Saturdays 10am-8pm, and Sundays 10am-5pm.

Hog Wild is three days of fun, excitement, music, food, vendors and beautiful northwestern scenery, as well as a chance to win a 2014 Indian Chief Custom Motorcycle.

Country music’s rising star, Thomas Rhett will take to the Pepsi Stage during the Grays Harbor County Fair. He’s charted four singles from his debut album “It Goes Like This”.
Hoquiam businesses are celebrating spring with the “First Thursdays” events continuing into 2014. The result of the event, now in its third year, has been increased foot traffic in downtown, a spike in sales for local businesses, join participating businesses every First Thursday from May through September and enjoy special deals, food, music and local art.

Immerse yourself in the world of steampunk crafts, activities and music. Add metallic parts like watch gears to hats and necklaces; make temporary tattoos and play quirky Victorian parlor games, all to a background of steampunk images and rock music. This event is part of Summer Reading, a Timberland Regional Library districtwide program.
The North Beach Singers of Ocean Shores will host a Kick-Off to begin preparing for their Winter Concerts in December. New members are welcome.
Horses Cut Shop presents a Northwest Timber Revival. This day-long, free to the public event features live music, a beer garden, vintage logging demonstrations and graphic t-shirts representing local, iconic timber industry brands. Sponsored by Filson, Stihl and Stanley, all profits from the Timber Revival event go to support the Natural Resources – Forestry Technician Program at nearby Grays Harbor College which serves the coastal communities of western Washington state. This two year applied associate degree program provides students with the skills needed to secure jobs in the modern-day timber industry.
Come to the library for a program on the American musical traditions of Swing and Jazz, featuring two films by Ken Burns – “Swing: The Velocity of Celebration” and “International Sweethearts of Rhythm.”

The history of salmon sport fishing in our community is long and colorful. Hundreds of thousands of people have visited Westport in pursuit of salmon and thousands of skippers and deckhands have worked here.
During this exciting two-day event we will hold the Pacific Northwest’s Biggest Smoked Salmon Competition with pro smokers competing for bragging rights! Located across the law will be our Beer Garden featuring Westport Brewing Company selections. Enjoy original songs by Bushwick Book Club Seattle, as they pay musical tribute to the book, “Closer to the Ground: An Outdoor Family’s Year on the Water, in the Woods, and at the Table” by Dylan Tomine. This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, Timberland Regional Library’s one book-one community reading initiative for 2014.

The exhibit may also be viewed through December 11 during regular library hours, which are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursdays until 6 p.m., Fridays until 4:30 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
