Due to yesterday’s storms, there are widespread power outages, road closures and downed power lines and poles throughout Grays Harbor County. Grays Harbor PUD crews are dealing with multiple outages at this time.

The most significant outage is from Markham west to Westport and south to Tokeland, involving 5111 customers.  Eight transmission poles have been brought down in a marshy area off of SR105.  Access, weather and tidal concerns will make this a lengthy outage, with restoration not expected until Wednesday evening at earliest. (Westport, Grayland, North Cove, Tokeland, Markham)

Power is also out on the North Beach from Copalis Crossing to Iron Springs impacting over 600 customers. A downed tree in the lines is the cause of the outage.

In Ocean Shores, a small number of customers on Park Ave are out due to a pole fire. Crews will need to replace the pole.  A crew is being assembled to begin repairs.

There is no estimated time of restoration at this time for any of these outages.
