There is tons of fun to be had July 4th in Ocean Shores. Everything from a watermelon eating contest to music at the casino and of course, fireworks. There is something for every member of the family right here in Ocean Shores.
Wednesday, July 4
Thousands flock to Grays Harbor’s beaches each year to celebrate Independence Day. No fireworks are permitted within the city in Ocean Shores and are only allowed in designated areas of the beaches, so make sure to follow the posted rules for a happy and safe holiday.
Oyhut Bay is having a week-long celebration from June 30-July 7. Head to Oyhut Bay Seaside Village on July 4 for their Ol’ Fashion Family Fourth from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. where a variety of old fashioned yard games, live music by Mr. Blackwatch, a watermelon eating contest, and a classic car show will keep the whole family entertained. There will be a patriotic pet parade beginning at 1:00 p.m. outside the sales office. Justin the Circler of Turning Circles will also be there making fun chalk and sand art. For those 21-years-old and up, check out DJ Berry at the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino’s Ocean Lounge from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. for free. Around 9:00 p.m. there will be a fireworks show off the boardwalk at the casino where Johnny Manson from The Jet will be matching music to the fireworks display.
Saturday, July 7
July 7-8, Uprising Volleyball presents the Ocean Shores Beach Blast Festival with games beginning at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine. The event is family friendly and will have live music, vendors, s’mores and other beach activities. Attending the event is free.
