Mother’s Day is on May 9 this year, and it’s a great day to treat your mom to a special meal. Mother’s Day brunch is a longstanding tradition for many. Brunch 101 of Hoquiam

As the name states, Brunch 101 of Hoquiam is a perfect place to take your mom for Mother’s Day brunch. They have all your favorites, from eggs benedict (called Bennies) and cheesecake French toast, to chicken and waffles and monte cristos. If you don’t know what a Dutch baby is, I highly recommended trying one here. Also called German pancakes, they are a large, eggy pancake that is cooked in the oven instead of fried on a griddle. They are open and serving brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, so if you have to celebrate Mom’s day on a day other than May 9, this is a good choice!
Clark’s Restaurant

Clark’s Restaurant has been a place for families to gather for decades. On Mother’s Day from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., they will have a special New York steak and prawns, featuring an eight-ounce New York steak and sautéed prawns. Sides include a salad, loaded baked potato and roll. Mimosas, wine and beer will also be served. Their entire breakfast menu will also be available from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. The menu includes all the classics like Belgian waffles, chicken fried steak, and eggs in a myriad of ways. Select breakfast items are served all day. Reservations are recommended and they offer inside and outside dining as well as take out.
Westport Winery

If a beautiful setting paired with award-winning local wines and spirits is your mom’s idea of a relaxing day, then head to Westport Winery. You can pop into the International Mermaid Museum, meander through the art garden, and then sit back and enjoy a lovely meal. For Mother’s Day brunch, Westport Winery will have their regular menu served all day, including their brunch and mimosa flights at the Sea Glass Grill. Some of their tasty offerings include a giant Hawaiian cinnamon roll filled with pineapple and topped with vanilla buttercream, caramel and macadamia nuts, or their Cougar Gold quiche filled with ham, bacon, chives, Cougar Gold and swiss cheese, with tarragon aioli. Mom can sleep in since the menu is served all day and between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. they will have a prime rib special.
Lighthouse Bistro

If your mom loves seafood, then Mother’s Day brunch in Westport at Lighthouse Bistro may be a good choice. They have the biggest and freshest selection of seafood on the Washington Coast and are located directly across from Washington’s tallest lighthouse! You can dine outside, enjoying the fresh harbor air while indulging in sumptuous seafood. They will have a special menu for Mother’s Day that is to be determined.
